Open the door to exciting careers with fluency in the French language.

Parlez-vous français? Fluency in the French language opens the door to many exciting careers. In this global economy, the knowledge of other languages and cultures is an absolute necessity, not only for economic and political survival, but also for international cooperation in problem solving. At Queens, you will receive superior language training, and you will learn French literatures, cultures and history.

Our French majors go on to graduate schools and rewarding careers in a number of fields including business, translation and interpretation, foreign service, education, law, diplomacy and government service, public policy, tourism, journalism and non-profits. You will also have the option to earn a licensure to teach French through coordination with our Cato School of Education.
