BA IN Studio Art
Art, Design and Music Department
Become well versed in creative and critical thinking while applying specialized skills in given media areas.
As a studio art major at Queens, you will learn by practicing ideation, iteration and realization. You will become well-versed in creative and critical thinking while applying specialized skills in given media areas. We emphasize a hands-on approach with time spent in the studio developing concepts and skills. You will practice generating and presenting ideas, developing concepts and techniques, and thoughtfully critiquing with superiors and peers.
Several of our studio art majors choose to double-major with arts leadership & administration, broadening their skill base and marketability. We also understand the importance of having freedom in perfecting your craft, so we invite our art students to take advantage of having 24-hour access to studio space.
