Education Sector: Leadership Development
Developing the next generation of schoolhouse leaders
Intentional and balanced leadership is absolutely critical to student success. Without it, teachers, schools and entire districts can struggle with direction. But with strong, decisive leadership in place, the possibilities are limitless.
That's exactly why Queens University of Charlotte designed the Education Leadership Program (ELP). A collaboration of the McColl School of Business' Executive Leadership Institute and the Cato School of Education at Queens, the ELP is a comprehensive suite of development programs that address the unique leadership needs of educators who are continually striving to build and sustain strong schools and districts.
Education Sector Leadership Development Programs
Classroom teachers and administrators face an assortment of distinct challenges. In order to meet the unique and pressing needs of students from low-income families, Queens has developed the Title 1 Coaching Academy aimed at achieving academic success.
School Executive Leadership Academy
Queens' School Executive Leadership Academy was specifically created to give aspiring school leaders the skills and knowledge needed to increase student achievement, improve staff engagement and develop stronger connections within the school community.
Assistant Principal Academy
Join other assistant principals in developing the skills needed to activate positive change and become even more effective leaders. AP Academy empowers effective leadership by inspiring participants to move away from instructional leadership to institutional leadership supported by a learning program tailored to meet their district's unique needs.
Principal Leadership Institute
Principals are continually relied upon to be decisive leaders of change. Queens' Principal Leadership Institute understands this and has designed an innovative program around enhancing their ability to identify and implement effective change. Since 2009, PLI has been transforming principals with goal-driven Action Learning projects, combined with classroom instruction and developmental coaching.
Principal Supervisor Leadership Program
Principal supervisors and district superintendents face complex challenges on a daily basis. Leading a variety of constituents to meet system-wide expectations while rallying school communities can be both difficult and demanding. Queens' Principal Supervisor Leadership Program is here to help by joining you with other dedicated supervisors in a program tailored to meet your district's specific needs.
