How do I apply?

1. Prepare.

We recommend that you craft your high school education with college application in mind. A solid high school experience includes:

  • Four units of English
  • Three units of mathematics
  • Two units of history / social studies
  • Two units of science
(one of which should be a laboratory science)
  • Two units of foreign language

2. Explore

If you haven't already, be sure to explore this mini-Web site (www.queens.edu/admissions) and our main site (www.queens.edu) to see if Queens is the right college for you.

Our current freshman class looks like this:

SAT Scores (range for middle 50%) 980–1150
ACT Scores (range for middle 50%) 22-26
Average high school GPA (unweighted) 3.3
In-state / Out-of-state 40% / 60%
Minority students 15%

3. Apply.

When you're ready to apply to Queens University of Charlotte, you can fill out the application form in print or online.

If you apply online, we will waive the application fee. If you send us the hard copy of the application form, we require that you provide us with a non-refundable, $40 application fee.  In addition, please submit the following:

  • Official copy of your high school transcript

  • Official SAT or ACT scores
    • Queens' SAT code is 5560
    • Queens' ACT code is 3148

Please note:  If you take the ACT you must take the writing portion of the test.  Students not taking the writing section of the ACT will be required to submit a writing sample to complete their application.

There is no fixed deadline for application — we operate on a rolling admissions basis — but you should be aware of the following:

  • Applications submitted by December 1 receive priority in scholarship funding.

  • We recommend that you apply no later than March 1.

  • Applications that we receive after March 1 will be accepted on a space available basis.
