Welcome to Queens University of Charlotte. We are excited that you are interested in getting involved in the life of the University. As you experience college life from a parent perspective, know that there are others out there like you.

All parents of current Queens students, as well as those who wish to remain active in the life of Queens after their son or daughter graduate, are considered members of the Parents' Association. The association is led by the Parents' Council, which was created to foster greater involvement of parents with the University and act as a leadership board for parental opinion, involvement, ideas and concerns through dialogue and interaction with University administration. Interested parents may apply for membership to the Parents' Council.

Parent volunteers

Parents are encouraged to become involved as volunteers for Queens and are able to participate in a variety of ways, including:

• Student Recruitment – lead efforts to utilize parents of current students in the admissions process including: connecting with parents of prospective students, representing Queens at various admissions related events, hosting events and being an ambassador in your community.
   
• Career Connection – work directly with the University to build a network of parents who can assist the Internship and Career Center by developing connections that could support students' career and internship goals.
   
• Parents' Fund – work with the University Advancement area at Queens to assist in the fund-raising efforts of Queens. Opportunities include joining the Royals Club, the athletic booster organization, by supporting fundraising efforts for university athletics and/or serving as volunteers in fundraising for unrestricted annual giving from parents to the Queens Fund. An appeal to parents will be sent in the fall asking for gifts to the Queens Fund.
