Transfer students are those who have received a high school diploma and have subsequently attended a college or university, earning credit, in either a part-time or full-time capacity.

How do I apply?
There are two ways to apply to the College of Arts and Sciences at Queens University of Charlotte. Either apply online or download the pdf version of the application below. Supplemental materials including high school and college transcripts, academic recommendations, personal statements and statements of good standing can be sent to the CAS Admissions Office.

Requirements
Students are required to submit an application, high school and university transcripts, a statement of good standing, an academic recommendation and a personal statement outlining your achievements and why you would like to attend Queens University of Charlotte.
Students transferring more than 23 credit hours or 25 years of age or older are not required to submit standardized test scores (SAT or ACT).
Students should have a minimum GPA of 2.0 in order to be considered for admission.

How do I arrange a campus visit?

Transfer Students are eligible for financial assistance as well as merit awards based on academic achievement. Filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is an important part of this process. File your FAFSA online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Our FAFSA school code: 002957.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long will it take to receive an admissions decision?
Upon receipt of all required documents, you will receive a decisions within two to three weeks.
Is there an application deadline for transfer students?
There is no deadline, but it is recommended that you apply by August 1 for the fall term, December 1 for the spring term and May 1 for the summer term.
How many credit hours must I complete to earn a degree from Queens?
You must earn a minimum of 45 credit hours at Queens in order to earn a degree from Queens University of Charlotte.
Is an internship required for graduation?
Yes. However, if you transfer 36 credit hours or more, the internship requirement will be waived.
What are the requirements for admissions?
The minimum GPA for admissions is 2.0. However, the admissions committee will look at a variety of factors, including your high school academic curriculum, personal statement and academic recommendation.
Which classes will transfer to Queens?
During your initial interview with a Queens admissions professional, you will receive a preliminary assessment of the classes that will transfer for credit. Upon receipt of all official transcripts, an official evaluation will be processed within two weeks.
Does Queens participate in the North Carolina Consortium agreement?
Yes, Queens participates with the University of North Carolina Consortium. With the completion of an associate degree, junior status is guaranteed.
Is there a minimum number of hours I must have completed before transferring to Queens?
No. We will work with you regardless of how many hours you have completed.
As a transfer student, am I required to provide SAT or ACT scores?
The requirement is waived for students transferring more than 23 hours. Students 25 years and older are not required to provide official standardized test scores.
Does the admissions committee require a personal interview?
Personal interviews are not required, but are strongly encouraged.
As a transfer student, will I be required to participate in the Core Program in the Liberal Arts?
Depending on previous coursework it is possible that some or all of the requirements may be waived.
Are transfer students required to attend an orientation?
Yes. Orientation for transfer students is held in August for fall enrollment and in January for spring enrollment.
Do transfer students participate in extracurricular activities in the Queens community?
Yes, transfer students make significant contributions to many of our student activities.
If I decide to live off-campus, will I have access to the campus fitness center?
Yes, full-time students have access to the fitness center as well as an array of other campus facilities and services.
Does Queens provide transfer students housing?
Yes, based on availability. We encourage you to apply early.
As a transfer student, am I eligible to participate in the John Belk International Program?
Yes, you will be eligible to participate in any Queens-sponsored international program.
Are transfer students required to be immunized?
Yes. All students attending classes during the day at Queens are required to be immunized. Your immunizations can be performed by your personal physician or at your local health clinic for a fee. If you have any more questions, please contact our Health and Wellness Center at 704 337-2220 .
What types of scholarship opportunities are available to transfer students?
Queens recognizes academic achievement for previous collegiate performance through renewable scholarship opportunities. Residents of North Carolina may be eligible for the North Carolina Legislative Tuition Grant. Please contact your admission counselor for specific details regarding funding opportunities.
