The Alumni Association Board of Directors is the governing body for the Alumni Association and it reviews alumni policies and helps represent and guide the mission of the Association. The Alumni Association Board of Directors is composed of eight elected officers, members-at-large and advisory members representing most decades and geographic regions of the University’s alumni body.
All board members are expected to be very active in the life of the University and support Queens through service and financial contributions (a gift to the Queens Fund).Each board member also agrees to serve on either the Reunion Committee or the Queens Fund Committee and attend all board meetings, the Alumni Leadership Conference, Reunion and at least two other alumni events throughout the year. The board meets two to three times a year to discuss reunion, chapters, the Queens Fund, as well as to review current procedures. Alumni may recommend themselves or others for inclusion on the Board of Directors. Nominations are taken each spring, and in the following fall, the nominating committee within the current Board of Directors reviews the nominations, suggests others and then names the next year’s slate of board members along with the alumni award recipients.
