THOMASVILLE, N.C. (April 18, 2005) — The coaches of the Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference (CVAC) voted on the 2005 All-CVAC Team. Catelyn Eddy of Queens University of Charlotte was recognized for her strong play for the fall of 2004 and spring of 2005.
Awards were presented at the CVAC Golf Team Banquet at the Conference Tournament Championships hosted by Coker College at Hartsville Country Club in Hartsville, SC. This year’s award winners are as follows:

Women's Golf Finishes 11th at Top-Flite / Rafferty's
In the inaugural CVAC Women’s Championship, Anderson maintained the lead over all three days holding off the Lady Saints by four shots with a 1035 total. Limestone improved its score each day making the race very tight at the end finishing with a 1039. Pfeiffer and St. Andrews finished out the team competition in that order.
AC’s Kathryn Adkins, the 2004 CVAC Women’s Player of the Year, held off teammate Brandi Jackson to win the medalist honors by one-stroke on the 5,822-yard par-72 Red Fox. Adkins finished with a 249 total for the three days. Leslie Ledbetter of Pfeiffer finished two-strokes behind Adkins in third. Limestone’s Caroine Rankin, Holly Tompkins, and Maggie Caron finished fourth through sixth, respectively. Carlie Eastman (AC), Lindsey Snyder (MOC), Cassandra Greif (PU), and Catelyn Eddy (QUC) completed the All Tournament Team, finishing seventh through tenth.

THOMASVILLE, N.C. (April 17, 2004) – Four Queens University of Charlotte men’s and women’s golfers earned All-CVAC recognition. Catelyn Eddy and Sara McCarthy were named Second Team All-CVAC and Martha Morgan was Honorable Mention All-Conference. On the men’s side, James Carnrite was named Honorable Mention All-CVAC.
The CVAC All-Conference teams were determined by vote from each head coach of participating institutions. Nominations are collected and then voted upon by ballot and tallied to determine Player of the Year, Freshman of the Year, Coach of the Year, All-CVAC First Team, All-CVAC Second Team and All-CVAC Honorable Mention. Awards were presented at the CVAC Golf Team Banquet at the Conference Tournament Championships hosted by St. Andrews Presbyterian College at the Foxfire Golf Club in Pinehurst, N.C. This year’s award winners are as follows:
