In the French film “Diva,” Jules, a young postman, is infatuated with a beautiful American soprano opera singer who has never allowed her singing to be recorded. Jules attends a recital at the Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord in Paris and decides to secretly record the singer’s voice. The film is both preposterous and delightful.
