Dear McColl School Graduating Class of 2008,
We know Graduation is a special time for you, and we hope to make it an occasion to remember. A schedule of events is listed below– please mark your calendars for the graduation ceremony on Friday May 2, 2008, at 7pm.
Invitations may be ordered directly from Herff Jones at www.herffjones.com/college
Attendance Because graduation ceremonies require careful planning, we need to have your attendance confirmed. If you absolutely CANNOT attend either rehearsal and/or Commencement, please notify Lisa Newman at 337-2234 no later than April 18th. If you have questions, please call.
Special Needs: If you or someone in your family requires special seating or parking due to disability for Baccalaureate or Commencement, please send written notice, including contact information, to Campus Police, 1900 Selwyn Avenue, Charlotte, NC, 28274, by April 18th.
Academic regalia (cap & gown) is required attire for Baccalaureate* and Commencement. When you completed your Application for Graduation a cap & gown was ordered for you based on the information you provided. You may pick up your regalia in the Student Store after April 22th. Appropriate attire for Baccalaureate and Commencement, in addition to the cap and gown, recognizes tradition as well as warm weather. Women should wear a dark-colored dress or skirt; men should wear dark slacks, shirt and tie. Dark shoes are proper for all.
Rehearsal helps make you familiar with procedures at Baccalaureate and Graduation. Rehearsal for the McColl School will be held Wednesday, April 30, 2008 starting in the Dana Auditorium at 6:00p.m.
Please bring your CAP with you to rehearsal to practice the hooding ceremony.
