Friends of The Arts at Queens
Join our supportive community members to enrich the visual, performing and literary arts within The Arts at Queens.
Friends of The Arts at Queens members support The Arts at Queens and share an appreciation for the arts. Memberships serve to enhance our students’ academic experiences and to fund arts programming. Friends enjoy arts salons in the homes of our gracious hosts, as well as fireside chats with faculty and invited experts.
By becoming a Friend of The Arts at Queens, you support our mission to enhance the life of our campus and the Charlotte region by fostering educational opportunities to connect, create and collaborate through artistic expression and leadership in the arts. Membership begins July 1 and ends June 30 of each year, and all members receive our newsletters and an invitation to the Arts Salon.

The arts are immediately visible along Selwyn Avenue at the edge of campus, where we have installed "Triple Arc I" by the landmark American sculptor James Rosati, on loan from the Jerald Melberg Gallery in Charlotte. We hope it inspires members of the community to attend our performances and visit our gallery. We regularly offer literary, performing and visual arts cultural events that feature distinguished visitors and talented students. By becoming a member of Friends of The Arts at Queens, you support our mission to enhance the life of our campus and the Charlotte region.
Arts opportunities at Queens only begin in our classrooms and studios. Our students also benefit from the vibrant city of Charlotte and the cultural and internship opportunities available. Students exhibit in the Max L. Jackson Gallery, join music ensembles, perform in Hadley Theater, work in the music therapy clinic, participate in arts clubs and organizations and edit Signet, the undergraduate magazine of art and literature.
