The Hershel H. and Cornelia N. Everett Fellowship
(For Graduate Students)
The Hershel H. and Cornelia N. Everett Fellowship Program is designed to offer financial assistance to students enrolled in a Queens University of Charlotte graduate program or post-baccalaureate teaching licensure program within the Cato School of Education. The Fellowships are awarded annually and can be renewed.
Who Can Apply?
Students who can demonstrate a financial need for continuing their education may be eligible for the Fellowship. In addition, a student must meet the following following requirements:
Have an established North or South Carolina residence
Maintain at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average
Register for and complete at least 9 credit hours per academic year
What Could I Receive?
The amount granted to a student is totally based on that student's individual need and therefore may vary from student to student.
The amount maximum amount a student may receive per academic year is $2000.
Once the amount of the Fellowship has been determined for a student, half of the award will be disbursed for the fall semester and the other half for the spring semester. Summer session classes are not eligible for the award.
What Must I Do To Maintain the Fellowship During the Year?
As stated above, a student must maintain at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average and must complete at least 9 credit hours per academic year.
In addition, a student must remain in good standing with the University. This means the student must follow all Board-approved policies, procedures, and eligibility requirements.
A Fellowship recipient may also be asked to attend a Fellowship reception held each Spring.
