Queens hosts ‘Birth,’ a theatrical production honoring mothers’ birth experiences Production in collaboration with BOLD Charlotte will benefit Carolina Community Maternity Center
Charlotte, N.C. (Nov. 4 , 2009) – The Drama Program at Queens University of Charlotte is pleased to host BOLD Charlotte in a production of Karen Brody’s “Birth,” honoring mothers’ birth experiences.
The play is performed as part of a global arts-based movement inspiring communities to create childbirth choices. Based on over 100 interviews Brody conducted with mothers across America, “Birth” tells the true stories of pregnant women, painting a portrait of how low-risk, educated women are giving birth in America today.
