Thank you for your efforts to share your international experiences! We are proud to feature the reporting and photography of our students and faculty who travel abroad — both on our web site and in future publications and presentations. Families, friends, and all of us at Queens particularly enjoy following the online reports as they arrive.
These guidelines are designed to help prevent common pitfalls in text reports, photos, and email transmission — and ensure that the Web Content Management team can post your efforts online as quickly as possible.
- Please submit trip reports and attachments to: jbip@queens.edu
- The total size of all attachments to one email cannot exceed 3 MB (3000 KB).
Emails larger than this are rejected by the Queens mail server. It is better to send photos attached to separate emails, if necessary, than to send one batch that will not be received.
- Video clips can be submitted but should not exceed 2 MB (2000 KB).
- Please proofread prior to submitting whenever possible.
- Please provide concise photo captions — at the very least, identify places and people.
- Clearly indicate the author of the trip report, and include title and department (if faculty/staff) or class year and major (if a student).
- Photos of places, monuments, and landscapes are more interesting with people in them!
- Try for candid / action shots in addition to posed groups.
- We welcome photos from all trip participants.
- Reports will be located on the International landing page —
www.queens.edu/international — under "Spring Study Tours" in the blue menus.
- There will also be a prominent link to the International landing page on the Queens home page — www.queens.edu — in the red "Features" column.
- Additionally, news headlines linking to the reports will be posted on the Queens home page and International landing page as reports arrive.
- Submissions will be posted within 48 hours of University Relations receiving them.
