Get Euros at airport ATMs either in Munich or Athens.
Depart Athens 6:05 pm for Heraklion [Iraklion]. Transfer to hotel.
Afternoon: Brief Heraklion orientation and dinner with group at the hotel. |

Heraklion [Iraklion] Leave hotel at 8:27am for visit to the Archeological Museum.
Afternoon: Visit to the Palace of Knossos. |
Saturday,
May 14 |
Heraklion Leave hotel at 8:34am for day trip to Palace of Phaistos, Matala, & Gortyn. |
Sunday,
May 15 |
Heraklion Leave hotel at 8:49am for visit to old harbor and fish market and the Historical Museum of Crete.
Afternoon: EXPLORE HERAKLION
Venetian Fortress (Koules), Battle of Crete Museum, Leoforos Kalokerinou, wandering Heraklion & outside the city, the Arhanes vineyards, etc. |
