Tentative Activities Calendar 
[The events, dates, & times in this activities calendar are subject to alteration in case of unforeseen conditions such as museum closings, inclement weather, or changes in travel schedule.]
Day 1 Be at the USAirways International check-in at the Charlotte Airport no later than 2:45 PM! [Allow plenty of time for security check-in.] Depart Charlotte 5:30 pm, USAirways flight #1706, for Philadelphia, arriving 7:07 pm. Depart Philadelphia, 8:45 pm, USAirways flight #722, for Dublin.
Day 2 Arrive Dublin, 8:40 am. Transfer to coach (Irish Coaches) for transit to Belfast. En route: stop in Drogheda for visit and lunch; Knowth/Newgrange. After arrival in Belfast, brief orientation and dinner with group.
Day 3 Belfast: 9:00 am, leave hotel for morning visit on Bus Tour Belfast. Afternoon: walkabout to Queens University of Belfast and Botanical Garden.
Day 4 Belfast: 8:00 am, leave hotel with luggage for Sligo (Furey’s of Sligo). En route: Giant’s Causeway and Dunluce Castle. After hotel check-in, brief orientation and walkabout.
Day 5 Sligo: 8:30 am, leave hotel for visit Drumcliff Cross and Round Tower, Yeats’s grave, Queen Maeve’s Tomb. Afternoon: Lough Glencar and Glencar Waterfall.
Day 6 Sligo: 8:00 am, leave hotel with luggage for coach trip to Galway via Croagh Patrick and Famine Ship Memorial. Lunch time in Westport. Afternoon: Galway walkabout & orientation, with tour of the Spanish Arches.
Day 7 Galway: 9:00 am, leave hotel for ferry & day trip to Aran Islands—bring food for lunch. Coach tour of Inishmore Island with visit to Dun Aengus stone fort.
Day 8 Galway: 8:30 am, leave hotel for day trip to the Burren & the Cliffs of Mohr.
Day 9 Galway, 8:00 am, leave hotel with luggage for coach transfer to Dublin. After hotel check-in, walking tour of Dublin Easter Uprising sites and orientation.
Day 10 Dublin: 9:00 am, leave hotel for Trinity College Library (the Book of Kells). Afternoon: National Museum of Ireland. EXPLORE DUBLIN: Dublin Civic Museum, Guinness Brewery/Storehouse, Dublin Castle, National Gallery, National Theater, Dublin Writers Museum, James Joyce Center, National Wax Museum.
Day 11 Dublin: 9:00 am, leave hotel for Christ Church Cathedral and St. Patrick’s. Afternoon: Kilmainham Gaol. EXPLORE DUBLIN.
Day 12 Dublin: early rising!! 6:50 am, leave hotel with luggage for transfer by Irish Coaches to Dublin Port & North Wales ferry. Depart 8:45 and arrive Holyhead 10:35 am. Transfer by coach (Silver Star Holidays) to Caernarfon via Llanfair P.G. (GoGoGo!) and Bryn Celli Ddu. Caernarfon walkabout & orientation.
Day 13 Caernarfon: 9:15 am, leave hotel for Caernarfon Castle. Afternoon: Pass of Llanberis, Beddgelert (village & grave of Gelert), & Nantgwynant hike.
Day 14 Caernarfon: 8:30 am, leave hotel for Great Ormes Head & Conwy Castle. Afternoon: Bodnant Gardens.
Day 15 Caernarfon: 8:30 am, leave hotel for Mt. Snowdon hike. Afternoon: Betwys-y-Coed
and Dolwyddelan Castle.
Day 16 Caernarfon: 7:50 am, leave hotel with luggage for coach trip to London. After hotel check-in, walkabout and orientation: the tube, Leicester Square (half-price theatre ticket booth), Piccadilly Circus, etc.
Day 17 London, 8:45 am, leave hotel for Tower of London. Afternoon: British Museum
EXPLORE LONDON – ALTERNATIVE ACTIVITIES: select from these options – British Library, Imperial War Museum, St. Bartholomew the Great, Victoria & Albert Museum, Cabinet War Rooms, Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum, Harrods, Kew Gardens, St. Paul’s, Museum of London, Old Bailey, Clink Prison Museum, Tower Bridge, Millennium Bridge, Globe Theatre, Tate Britain, Tate Bankside Gallery of Modern Art, Shakespeare's Globe, Hyde Park, Covent Garden, etc.
Day 18 London: 8:30 am, leave hotel for walking tour of Whitehall, Horse Guards, Downing Street, Big Ben, Parliament, & visit Westminster Abbey. Afternoon: National Gallery.
Day 19 Early Rising!! London: 7:00 AM SHARP! Leave hotel with luggage for transfer via Gatwick Express to Gatwick Airport. Depart London Gatwick 10:30 am, USAirways flight #733. Arrive Charlotte at 2:20 pm.
