Today we went to the Tower of London. What a creepy place! A lot of people were executed here, including Sir Thomas More, Anne Boleyn, and several others who fell out of favor with King Henry VIII.
We got to see the Crown Jewels, which were incredible, as they sparkled under bright lights, and we enjoyed the colorful and clever Beefeaters, who guard the Tower. The Beefeaters dress in white and red Elizabethan-looking guard's garb and they tell great stories about the Tower.
Cheers!

Our last day in London... For our last activity, we went to the incredible British Museum, home to Egyptian mummies, friezes from the Parthenon of Ancient Athens, and much, much more. We also saw the Rosetta Stone, the Lindow Man (another mummified figure), and many other interesting artifacts. What a wonderful final activity!
In the afternoon, we all went our separate ways to do last minute shopping or sight-seeing. A lot of us were sad that the study tour had come to an end, and we were all grateful for this wonderful experience! The John Belk International Program is incredible! Our faculty leaders are wonderful!
Tomorrow, we get on the plane to return home, and back to the American way of life. What a great way to experience other cultures! Thank you, Queens! Thank you, Mr. Belk!
