It is rumored that the Internships and Career Programs office is one of the most important offices on campus. Not only do we assist students in gaining practical job experience through our award winning internship program, but we also provide a host of programs and services to maximize students' ability to gain employment or admission into graduate/professional school. Our goal is to provide courteous, professional service to students and employers.
We are gearing up for a great 2007-2008 school year. New this year will be our graduate and professional school fair to be held Wednesday, October 3, 2007 in Trexler. For those students interested in continuing education beyond Queens, we developed this event with you in mind. Please contact us at the Blair House to see a list of participating schools and visit them at the fair. Any graduate school representative wishing to display, please contact our office.
As a means to bring employers to campus, we are also working to expand our on-campus interview days. Employers from the Charlotte community are invited to visit Queens to interview qualified candidates. Students should visit the Blair House to sign up for interviews. Employers should contact the office to RSVP.
Finally, we are sponsoring Business After Hours: The Art of Networking. This networking event will be an excellent way to meet recruiters from major corporations before you graduate and another way to gain entry into businesses. The event will take place on January 30, 2008 in Burwell Hall.
We are eager to assist students, alumni, employers and graduate/professional schools with our process and programs. Let us know how we might help. Have a productive year!
