Sponsored by the U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Resources, this web site provides a gateway to the vast array of Federal and other women's health information resources. Users may search the database by keyword through the site's search engine or by health topic.
NORD (National Organization for Rare Disorders)
According to this web site's mission statement, it is "a voluntary health organizations dedicated to helping people with rare 'orphan' diseases and assisting the organizations that serve them" since 1983 (NORD). While users are free to search the site's databases, only abstracts ofdisease reports and information about support organizations are available free on this web site. Full-text access may be purchased or provided if one becomes a subscriber to NORD.
