Changing the World: Community Service and Political Activism
Have you ever wondered how you could better serve your community? This course will help you to answer that question. We will examine two major vehicles through which a community can be transformed: service and activism. The class will be very hands on, using local programs as a focus for study in order to give students both theoretical and practical exposure to different forms of community organization.

Digital Photography
Gain basic digital photography skills, applicable to everyday settings in this course. Learn basic camera operations and functionality along with photography techniques involving light, composition, creative approaches, computer storage and file storage.

Tennis
Whether you are a beginner, someone who wants to brush up on their game or learn new skills, there is a tennis class that will meet your needs. In Beginner Tennis, you will learn basic stroke techniques: forehand, backhand, volley, and serve. In Intermediate Tennis, you will learn patterns of play: singles and doubles, serves and return of serves.
Instructor: Charles Gordon, USPTR certified with 20-year tennis instructing experience, former Queens coach

QUEENS CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY: In order to receive a refund, less a $50 processing fee, you must withdraw from a class in writing at least 10 working days prior to the start of the course. No refunds will be given after that time. Please note that if you do not officially withdraw from the course and do not attend the course, you are still responsible for the payment. If the course is canceled for any reason, you will be notified and your entire tuition fee will be refunded.
