NEW! Music in Society: Religion, Rebellion and Romance FULL
In an exciting new partnership with the Charlotte Symphony, this course blends theory and experiential learning together to create a unique experience. Students will learn about music as a social force, a vehicle for expressing ideas about spirituality, politics, and romantic love. The music studied in class will be interpreted in artistic, social and historical contexts. Students will also attend three Charlotte Symphony concerts and one post concert party with musicians and guest artists.

Gods, Heroes, and a Few Good Women: The History of Opera in 90 minutes or Less CLOSED
This course offers a fun and informative way to learn the history of opera. We will trace the history of the masterworks and key aspects of the genre, complete with exposure to musical examples, and opera stories.
Instructor: Jennifer Crawford, accomplished opera vocalist and international theater performer

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY:
In order to receive a refund, less a $15 processing fee, you must withdraw from a class in writing at least five working days prior to the start of the course. No refunds will be given after that time. Please note that if you do not officially withdraw from the course and do not attend the course, you are still responsible for the payment. If the course is canceled for any reason, you will be notified and your entire tuition fee will be refunded.
