In light of current events, many scholars and advocates of global peace have been encouraging dialogue among leaders and practitioners from different religious traditions. This trend rests on the belief that dialogue is essential for our understanding of different cultures and faiths and is the first step in undermining inacurate generalizations or stereotypes.
Closer to home, The Center is sponsoring several upcoming events whose purpose is to promote interfaith dialogue. Dr. Diane Mowrey has arranged for The Listening Project's "Israeli-Palestinian Dialogue" to take place at Queens and The Center is co-sponsoring the "Families of Abraham" exhibit at the Levine Museum of the New South (for more information on both events see "News and Events" on our homepage).
