Women’s Lacrosse Add Two to Class of 2012
Head Coach Meghan Dennehy signed Paige Fisher and Melissa Boulbol
CHARLOTTE, N.C., (June 24, 2008) — Queens University of Charlotte women’s lacrosse head coach Meghan Dennehy has announced the addition of two players to the class of 2012. Paige Fisher, Schwenksville, Pa., and Melissa Boulbol, of Wellington, Fla., join seven other players in the 2012 class.
“I am excited to add both of these young women to the team,” said Dennehy. “Paige and Melissa have strong playing background and will make an immediate impact on the team.”
Fisher is a graduate at Perkiomen Valley High School where she was a member of the varsity soccer team for four years and varsity lacrosse team for three. Fisher was a three-time all-conference honorable mention soccer player in the highly competitive Pioneer Athletic Conference. During her senior year, Fisher was awarded the Most Courageous Female Athlete Summit Award in lacrosse. Outside of high school competition, Fisher spent five years in the club lacrosse system. She played with the Cyclone lacrosse club, three years, South Eastern Pennsylvania Girls’ Lacrosse, one year, and most recently with the Ultimate Goal Lacrosse Club. Academically, she was an honor roll student, won the academic athlete award her senior year and was awarded the American Citizenship award.
Boulbol graduated from Palm Beach Central High School. While at Palm Beach Central, she was a four-year member of the lacrosse team and the team captain her junior and senior years. She was previously named the lacrosse team’s most valuable player and received an all-district honorable mention from the Florida High School Athletic Association, District 10. During her senior year she led the team with 17 goals, and provided six assists. Additionally, she won 22 draw controls, picked up 35 groundballs and only committed four turnovers. Academically she was a member of the National Honor Society and an honor roll student.
Also joining the Royals in the fall are student-athletes Kristen Kemp, Shannon Casey, Kaitlynn Hendricks, Brittany Phillip, Taylor Barry, Chelsea Lancashire and Brandi Jacobs.
