Women’s Golf Finishes Twelfth In Kiawah

 

Royals struggle in season opening tournament

 

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. (February 10, 2004) – The Queens University of Charlotte women’s golf team struggled in its season opener, finishing twelfth at the Tusculum College/Kiawah Island (S.C.) Invitational last weekend. The two-round tournament was played at the famed Cougar Point Golf Club outside of Charleston, S.C. The University of West Florida took the crown followed by Nova Southeastern University and Central Arkansas University.

 

Martha Morgan led Queens with a +44 (188) and tied for No. 38 on the leader board. Catelyn Eddy (+53, 197) finished No. 50, Sara McCarthy No. 52 (+55, 199) and Christa Soderstrom No. 61 (+74, 218).

Queens next competes at the Pfeiffer University Women’s Invitational at the Old North State Golf Club March 14-16.
