Limestone Dominant At Upstate Classic

 

Queens fails to qualify

 

GAFFNEY, S.C. (April 1, 2004)The Limestone College men’s and women’s golf teams took both team championships at the Upstate Classic at Cherokee National Golf Course.  The Lady Saints shot 676 through 36 holes.

 

Limestone took their third consecutive tournament title with a two-day score of 676.  The Lady Saints have also taken wins at The Rock and St. Andrews InvitationalsNewberry College’s Stephanie Heman took the individual title with a 164.  Limestone’s Caroline Rankin finished just one stroke back at 165.

 

Queens did not qualify as only three golfers competed. Catelyn Eddy led Queens shooting a +29 86-87, good for seventh place on the leader board. Martha Morgan was not far behind shooting a +40 89-95.
