In 1999 Queens University of Charlotte began offering a program focused on Professional Golf Management. Since then, the program has developed an innovative and unique approach to preparing students to be leaders and decision-makers in the business of golf. In partnership with Ballantyne Resort Golf Course and the Leatherman Golf Learning Center, Queens University of Charlotte offers qualified students a one of a kind golf education. Our focus is on providing the right academic environment and "hands-on" experiences for aspiring professionals in the golf industry to develop as players and leaders.
We see golf as an important and ever-changing business. Our students are allowed to choose their academic major, but are required to concentrate in business administration through the McColl Graduate School of Business. The outcome of a Queens UNiversity of Charlotte education is for the student to become a critical thinker, an effective communicator, and a leader in their chosen field. We allow our students to follow their academic passions and open doors to the golf industry that they may never have envisioned before.
Our golf management classes are taught by PGA professionals who are "living the life" everyday and know what it takes to be successful. Our students are required to continue their real world education through summer internships where they perfect their skills and put theory to practice.
