Nursing Continuing Education
The Center for Lifelong Learning at Queens University of Charlotte offers a variety of continuing nursing education seminars. These seminars are taught by highly experienced faculty and participants are awarded nursing contact hours which help them to meet the yearly requirements by the NC Board of Nursing. Our seminars allow local nurses to continue obtaining exceptional continuing education without the added cost of travel. All seminars are held on the beautiful campus of Queens University of Charlotte and lunch is included in the cost.

2010 Nurse Educators Institute
This 45 nursing contact hour program is designed for current nurse educators who:
• Need to meet the new nurse educator requirements as set forth by the NC Board of Nursing
• Seek additional training by experienced faculty in their field
• Seek motivation for pursuing a Masters Degree
• Need additional contact hours for licensing

Nurse Aide I Training Programs
The Nurse Aide I Training Program prepares students to provide respected healthcare services in a field that is in high demand. It also helps those that are pursuing a career in nursing to meet the requirements for admission to area schools of nursing. This course consists of both classroom and clinical training and is open to individuals in the community as well as to those entering the Presbyterian School of Nursing program at Queens University of Charlotte and other area nursing programs. At the end of this course students will have a comprehensive written and skills competency exam in preparation for their state certification exam.

Nurse Aide I Refresher Courses
This three (3) day course is designed primariy for individuals that have an expired NC Nurse Aide I certification or have an out of state Nurse Aide I certification and are needing to take the NC state competency exam. This course reviews key information needed for preparing students to be able to complete both the written and the skills portion of the state competency exam.
