James Bullock, Vice President James has more than 23 years of in-depth fundraising experience in higher education. In his role as Vice President for University Advancement at Queens, James serves on the president’s senior leadership team and provides strategic oversight of the University’s advancement program, including its critical development and capital fundraising initiatives.Prior to coming to Queens, James served as Vice President of University Advancement at Wake Forest University, where he led an office of more than 75 alumni, development, marketing and communications professionals. As director of the Campaign for Wake Forest from 1999 to 2006, James led a dedicated team of staff and volunteers to a record-setting landmark - surpassing the University's $600 million goal by more than $89 million. James earned his BA (1985) and MBA (1995) from Wake Forest University. A frequent speaker on capital campaigns and planned giving at Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) conferences, James is also an active member of several civic and professional organizations, including CASE, the Center for Congressional Health, and the Highland Presbyterian Church in Winston-Salem, N.C. |

Elyn Dortch, Associate Vice President Elyn Dortch comes to Queens with a proven ability to lead, manage and grow strategic relationships in both corporate and entrepreneurial settings. She has spent 24 years in the financial services industry, where most recently she was a Senior Vice President/Private Client Advisor for U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management. Elyn earned an undergraduate degree at Wake Forest University, and an MBA at Southern Oregon University. Throughout her career, Elyn has received the greatest level of satisfaction by helping people attain their aspirations, and giving back to the community. She was recognized by the Charlotte Business Journal as one of the “Top 25 Women in Business.” Elyn currently serves on the Board of Directors of Charlotte Chamber Music, and is a member of Women Executives, the Catawba Society, Queens Learning Society, and Executive Women’s Golf Association. She is also a graduate of Leadership Charlotte. |

Todd Hartung, Associate Vice President Todd came to the Queens community from Forsyth Country Day school where he served on their administrative team as Director of Development. In addition to his work with alumni programming and development, Todd taught economics and also led the wrestling team to their first ever NCISAA state title. Todd holds a bachelor's in political science from UNC-Chapel Hill and an MBA from Wake Forest University. While an undergraduate at UNC-Chapel Hill, Todd was a member of the wrestling team and was the recipient of the Athletic Directors’ scholar athlete award as well as the Sam Barnes award for the greatest contribution of a non scholarship athlete. Todd is on the board of The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and a member of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). Hartung resides in Davidson, N.C., with his wife Regina and their two daughters, Isabella and Emma. |

James Tolliver, Director of Corporate Relations James returns to his love of development after serving as president of AW Enterprises, a multi-million dollar wealth management and real estate development firm. Prior to his presidency, James served in a variety of fundraising capacities, including Field Director with the Boy Scouts of America. James was the featured story in Prospeak, the national magazine for Scouting professionals, as he was recognized as a national leader through his success in turning around underperforming areas. A graduate of Appalachian State University and the United Way's Minority Leadership Enhancement Program, James also chaired the Interact Club through the Dunwoody (GA) Rotary Club and was president of his Alpha Phi Alpha chapter. He is pursuing his Master's in Organizational Development through Queen’s McColl School of Business. James is also an active member of the Uptown Charlotte Rotary Club, the Beta Nu Lambda chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha, Queens' Peer Mentoring Program, and the Carolinas Organizational Development Network. |

Beth Levanti, Director of Alumni Programs Prior to joining the advancement team at Queens, Beth served as the assistant director of alumni affairs at Chatham College in Pittsburgh. She received her bachelor's in art history from the University of Pittsburgh and worked at the Carnegie Museum of Art in Pittsburgh before moving into a career in higher educaiton. Beth especially enjoys her new home in Charlotte and Queens' diverse and talented alumni community. |

Laura Beth Ellis, Director of Annual Leadership Giving Laura Beth received her bachelor's degree in political science from Florida State University in May 2006. She spent two years as a staff assistant in the Florida Senate before working in the governor's office. Ellis said her lessons learned from those experiences -- as well as her ongoing community service with groups such as United Way and Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership -- have helped to prepare her for a career at Queens. |

Laura Gainer Laura Gainer is the assistant director of alumni and development for the McColl School of Business. Laura graduated with a B.S. in Communication from Florida State University in 2004, and has lived in Charlotte since. Before coming to Queens in October 2008, she served as the public relations and communications manager at Trinity Episcopal School in uptown Charlotte. In her spare time, Laura is involved in various organizations and charity work throughout the area, including the American Cancer Society (Relay for Life) and a mentoring program, which she co-founded, at Irwin Avenue Open Elementary School, located in the Fourth Ward District of Uptown Charlotte. |
