| What Makes the Queens M.S.A. Program Unique? When Are Classes Held? What Classes Are in the Program and How Long Will It Take Me To Complete? What Do I Need To Do To Be Admitted To the Program? What All Must I Do To Receive My State License? More Information About the Program |
I love that we are gaining so much practical knowledge about being an effective principal through the Queens M.S.A. program. When I have talked with several of my friends who are in M.S.A. prgrams in other universities they indicate almost all of what they are learning is theory. I believe when we finish our program we will know what it takes to be a successful administrator and about the "nuts and bolts" of running a school. I am glad I am part of the Queens program. | A few key areas of this innovative program include a cohort model approach, training in conflict and crisis management, and the development of the future leader as a school executive with mission critical decision-making skills that are responsive to communities’ needs. The faculty has been carefully selected to provide strength in those areas that are critical for a well-rounded education program. Additionally, a low student-to-faculty ratio assures individual attention for all students in interactive classes that emphasize application of the topics presented. |

During that one evening, a student will take 2 classes. As an example, during the first semester, on Mondays students will take Educational Leadership from 6:00 - 7:25 pm and then will take Supervision of Instruction from 7:30 - 8:55 pm. Additional work for each of these classes will be completed online. This enables the student to come to the Queens campus only one night a week. |
