Master of Arts in Organizational & Strategic Communication
Welcome to the Queens University of Charlotte department for graduate study in Organizational and Strategic Communication. The goal of our graduate program is to further educate students with theory and skills in analytical thinking, problem solving, collaborative learning, and organizational issues. These skills will allow our graduates to become independent consumers, critics, and creators of human communication within organizations.
This program of study will be valuable for students and for the organizations in which they work. Through analysis and discovery of leadership abilities, group communication strategies, and practical knowledge of organizational and/or strategic communication, graduates will be well prepared to put their skills to use as effective professionals in the Charlotte community and beyond.
Our program is divided into two tracks: Organizational Communication and Strategic Communication. All graduate students will take core courses in communication theory, culture, and ethics in addition to completing a capstone course at the conclusion of the program. We think that this core of coursework, supplemented with courses in each individual’s interest area, will provide our students the opportunity to engage as entrepreneurial leaders and communicators in a new, always-on workplace environment.
