Charlotte Theological Library Consortium

http://www.atla.com/ctlc/ctlc.html

The Charlotte Theological Library Consortium (CTLC) was begun to allow greater resource sharing amongst the various schools with theology and/or religion programs in the Piedmont area of North Carolina.  This link will take you to the consortium website which lists all the participating schools, giving information on each school with a link to each school.  This is particularly helpful to our out of town students who would benefit from a theological library closer to them.

Web Resources

Care must be taken in searching for information on the Internet. Unlike both the print resources found in the library and the electronic databases provided by the library, freely available Internet resources have not necessarily been published by reputable academic publishers nor have they been selected by librarians with expertise in their subject area. Nearly anything can be posted on a website, and just because it is available online does not mean it is valid or authoritative. Therefore, time has been taken to list a few of the more reputable websites.

Christian Classics Ethereal Library
This collection -- a collection of the greats in Christian theology, spirituality, hymnody, and fiction -- makes classic literature available for study.  It also contains reference materials for Bible study.  Alternate formats are available for many of the texts.

Computer-Assisted Theology: Internet Resources
This page provides a vast list of annotated Internet resources relating to biblical and theological studies.  The intention is to give an indication of the range of resources available on the Internet.

Church Fathers
This is a large collection put together by the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese. There are works from many of the major saints of the Church that contain writings on theology, spiritual guidance, sermons, church history, liturgy, and hermeneutics.

David Mayo's Pathfinder for Theology Students
David Mayo, a theological librarian, has compiled numerous websites on important religious and theological subjects such as Biblical Studies, Christian Literature, Worship Resources, Church Studies, Spirituality, and Theologians.  This pathfinder contains websites from many different internet resources on those subjects above and more.

Religious Studies Web Guide
This web site, in existence since 1995, focuses on free internet resources of use to researchers involved in the academic study of religion. It contains bibliographies, images, indexes, texts as well as information on world religions, denominations, and various religious subjects.

Virtual Religion Index
The extensive site is arranged by topics. It analyzes and highlights important content of religion-related websites to speed research.  Links are provided not only to homepages but to major directories & documents within.
