Queens University of Charlotte is pleased to offer affordable summer housing to college students with internships in the Charlotte area.
Intern Housing opens May 22, 2010 and closes July 31, 2010. Students may check-in after May 22, but our closing date is firm as summer housing dorms are also used for traditional students during the fall semester.
Intern Housing is available in our North Residence Hall. This apartment style dorm is one of the most popular housing options at Queens.
Cost
Queens offers three rooming options:
- Private Apartment with Single Bedroom and Bath - $200 per week
- Apartment with Single Room and Bath - $150 per week
- Apartment with Double Room and Bath - $100 per person, per week
Amenities
- Private or suite-style bathrooms
- Fully furnished living area in each apartment
- Full kitchen in each apartment with fridge, stove, oven and microwave
- Fully furnished bedrooms with twin size bed, dresser, desk and closet
- Rent includes utilities, basic cable, local phone service with voicemail and ethernet connection
- Free laundry facilities
- Access to full fitness center ($7 per week)
- Ample parking right behind dorm (parking permit required for a one-time $30 fee)
Location
Queens University of Charlotte's North Residence Hall is centrally located in the heart of Myers Park, one of the most historic and beautiful communities in Charlotte. We're just 2.5 miles from downtown (about a 5 minute drive) and in close proximity to a city bus stop. There is also a Harris Teeter Grocer located directly across the street from the dorm.
Application Process
If you are interested in the housing opportunities at Queens, please complete the online application form. In addition, a letter from your place of work confirming the specific dates of your employment and a security deposit equal to one weeks rent is required to complete the reservation process.
