Director of Health and Wellness
Queens University of Charlotte has an immediate opening for a Director of the Health & Wellness Center. The qualified candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field from an accredited institution, be licensed in NC as a registered nurse, have a valid NC driver’s license, supervisory/ management experience.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all operations within the Health & Wellness Center, including supervising the staff (1 FT/1 PT counselor, 1 FT administrative assistant, 1 PT nurse), managing the budget, and strategic planning for the unit
- Serve as primary health care provider to a student population of approximately 1,000 students, including assessing their health needs, providing referrals, and occasionally arranging patient transport when appropriate
- Assist part-time physician (1 half day/week) and phone in prescriptions by orders
- Provide appropriate health information to campus community via campus programs, educational workshops, and other appropriate methods
- Make visits to students in residence hall when necessary
- Perform immunizations, documentation and lab duties
- Keep inventory of medical supplies
- Work with the Business Office to obtain a student group health insurance policy
- Co-organize Queens Health & Benefits Fair
- Support campus and national health issue activities
- Maintain close working relationship with Student Life and Campus Police personnel
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field from an accredited institution, master’s preferred
- Licensed as a registered nurse in North Carolina
- Valid North Carolina driver’s license
- Supervisory or management experience
- Ability to interact and empathize in the treatment of students and other clientele
- Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.

Evening and Weekend Public Services Assistant- Everett Library
Queens University of Charlotte is seeking an evening and weekend public services assistant for Everett Library to provide support and user services at the Circulation Desk and within Public Services on nights and weekends.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for the Public Service Desk Operations during designated Evening and Weekend shifts
- Provide informational and directional assistance to patrons in-person, via email and by telephone
- Staff the service desk, assisting with automated and manual circulation of library materials, interpretation of library policies and procedures to users, and operation of special equipment
- Supervision, training and direction of student workers who work on evenings or weekend shifts
- Contribute to general library operations such as maintaining order, safety and security of materials and equipment in the library during the evening and weekend shifts
- Troubleshoot problems with use of copiers, workstations, and printers in the information commons and labs throughout the library.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Good communicator and excellent organizational skills.
- Experience in a college or public library preferred.
- Initiative, reliability, and a sense of responsibility to maintain library policies and procedures.
- Ability to multi-task and to identify and resolve concerns of library users.
- Maintain a good communication flow with the Manager of Public Services, reporting concerns or difficulties as they may occur.
Work Hours: 30 hour per week position with primary responsibility to cover the Public Services Desk from 6 pm to midnight on Monday through Thursday, Sunday from 6 to midnight. Hours may change depending upon scheduling of student assistants and coverage emergencies.

Public Services Manager - Everett Library
Queens University of Charlotte is seeking an public services manager for Everett Library.
Essential Functions:
- Provide overall leadership to the public services staff by interviewing, selecting, supervising and training student assistants with circulation and public services duties
- Cross train for technology skills in collaboration with IT Services
- Greet and assist visitors/patrons in person or by telephone
- Coordinate and schedule library and student staff to maintain coverage at the Public Services Desk
- Provide circulation services to patrons using WorkFlows
- Provide reference services and direct patrons who need reference services to an appropriate reference librarian
- Monitor overdue books, fines, lost books, invoices to patrons and prepare monthly reports

- Monitor and update the Everett Library Electronic Catalog of events and activities.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree preferred in business, library and information studies or communications
- Good communicator and excellent organizational skills. Experience in a college or university library preferred
- Knowledge of library operating software helpful. Ability to work independently to meet deadlines.

Director of Human Resources
The Director of Human Resources will work with the University’s administration to build the leadership capacity, organizational capability and culture that will enable Queens University of Charlotte to achieve its objectives. - PHR or SPHR certification preferred
- Strong computer skills, including experience with HRIS
