ONE YEAR before a student intends to graduate, s/he must notify the Office of the Registrar by filling out an APPLICATION FOR GRADUATION, available in the Office of the Registrar. Receipt of this form places the student on the graduation list, initiates a graduation audit and orders the diploma. If you have questions regarding this form, please contact the Office of the Registrar.
The DEGREE REQUIREMENTS CHECKLIST (available from your advisor) is used to check whether or not the student has met general education requirements as well as the requirements for MAJORS, MINORS AND CONCENTRATIONS. This form is filled out jointly by the student and advisor ONE YEAR prior to graduation. If you have questions regarding this form, please contact the Office of the Registrar.
The Queens University of Charlotte Student Store oversees the contract between Herff Jones and Queens University of Charlotte and also coordinates the orders for the caps and gowns.
College of Arts and Sciences students must visit the Student Store and complete a Herff Jones form. This should be done during the final exam period of the Spring Semester of the student’s Junior year, in order for the cap and gown to be available for Fall and Spring Convocations. Late orders may be placed during Spring Break; however, students ordering late will not have regalia for either convocation.
Hayworth College (undergraduate and graduate) and McColl Graduate School of Business students indicate their desire to march in the graduation ceremony on the Application for Graduation, which is forwarded to the Student Store and is used to place an order for a cap and gown. These forms must be to the Student Store prior to Spring Break of the year the student plans to march.
At any time during a student's last term at Queens, s/he may request a copy of his/her transcript. Simply complete the ACADEMIC TRANSCRIPT REQUEST FORM and check the box requesting "Hold for Degree". We will postpone distributing the transcript until the grades have come in and the degree has been posted. Transcripts with degrees posted will be available 7-10 days after commencement.
Please contact the Office of the Registrar at 704 337-2242.
