Dr. Siu Challons-Lipton received her D.Phil. in 19th Century Art from the University of Oxford, England, and her B.A. and M.A. in Baroque Art from the University of McGill in Montreal, Canada. She also trained at Sotheby's, London, in 19th and 20th century Decorative Arts.
Dr. Challons-Lipton's field of expertise lies in 19th and 20th century Art and Criticism, and the Business of Art. She also teaches classes in The History of Design, Photography and Women Artists. Her research interests include: 19th Century Academic and Realist Art, Internationalism in Paris of the late 19th Century, and Scandinavian Art of the 19th and 20th Centuries.
Dr. Challons-Lipton published a book in 2002 in her field of specialization — The Scandinavian Pupils of the Atelier Bonnat, 1867-1894. She has also given numerous presentations including: "The Art of Buying Art" in 2006 to the Charlotte Uptown Rotary; "Medicine in Art" and "Art in Medicine" at the Mint Museum of Art and Signature Healthcare, Charlotte, in 2004; "Paris Girls: Scandinavian Women Artists in Paris", to the Women's Studies Department at USC Columbia in 2001; "Academic Instruction in Paris" to McGill University, Montreal, Canada; "Berthe Morisot", to Converse College in 2000; and "Leon Bonnat and his Scandinavian Pupils" at Oxford University, UK, in 1998.

Rick Crown has an M.F.A. from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in Ceramics and an M.A. in Latin American History from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN and a B.A. in History from New York University.
Rick Crown taught at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York, before coming to Queens thirty-five years ago to become a professor of art. In addition to working in ceramics, he creates small metal sculptures based on Penland School of Crafts jewelry making courses.
His work has been shown at numerous galleries, the Mint Museum, Spirit Square, the Fayetteville Museum of Art and the Carillon Building. He formerly showed at Gallery WDO where he had a one man show, "Animal Magnetism" in 2002.
In 2003, six former students gathered at Queens to honor Rick Crown by showing their ceramic works along with his in a show titled "Confluences and Influences."

Jayne Johnson earned her M.F.A in printmaking and drawing from James Madison University and her B.F.A from Baylor University.
Jayne Johnson has taught at Queens for seventeen years. She is represented by the Hodges Taylor Gallery in Charlotte. She has exhibited widely from the Winston-Salem "Dimensions National Competition" to Davidson University, the Lenoir Arts Council gallery and the Dear Fleischer Invitational. She is also represented in many corporate collections including the Hilton Hotel Corporation, at James Madison University, Baylor University, First Charter Bank, McColl Business School, First Charter Bank, Grubb Development Group and Womble Carlyle Sandridge and Rice.
In 2000, Jayne Johnson was the recipient of the William S. Lee Distinguished Professor award.
