Welcome to the Department of Environmental Science at Queens. We offer a B.S. in Environmental Science and support four concentrations: Environmental Studies, Environmental Politics, Environmental Biology and Environmental Chemistry. We encourage any student interested in environmental courses, outreach, educations, research or careers to come chat with us - our doors are alway open and we'd be happy to provide guidance.
- Work for a state or federal agency: EPA, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, National Park Service, U.S. Forest Service, state natural resource departments, fisheries agencies, etc.
- Work for a non-profit group such as The Nature Conservency, The Sierra Club, Audubon, League of Conservation Voters, etc.
- Environmental consulting
- Environmental law
- Environmental education/outreach at museums, nature centers, camps, parks, etc.
- Academia
- Research: academic, government, or non-profit
- Science/nature writing
Student Research and Travel Opportunities
