On April 10, 2018, Dr. Pamela Davies announced her plan to conclude her service as the university’s 20th president effective June 30, 2019. After a sabbatical year, Davies will return to the faculty as professor of strategy in the McColl School of Business.

Board of Trustees Chair Michael Tarwater appointed Trustee and Immediate Past Chair Michael Marsicano to chair the Presidential Search Committee. The search committee, composed of trustees, faculty, staff, students and alumni, conducted the national search.

During April and May 2018, a number of forums and meetings were held to allow students, faculty, staff, alumni and other stakeholders an opportunity to share suggestions and ideas about the search for our next president.

The search committee produced a detailed prospectus for the position of president of Queens University of Charlotte. The document provides an overview of Queens' history, programs and operations, along with details about the opportunities and challenges of the position and the desired qualifications and characteristics of our next leader.
