Daniel G. Lugo, J.D., a distinguished higher education professional and inspirational leader known for innovative resource development at some of the nation’s most prestigious liberal arts institutions, will become Queens University of Charlotte’s 21st president on July 1, 2019. He is currently the vice president for College Advancement at Colby College in Waterville, Maine.

I could not be more excited to serve as Queens’ next president at a moment when the university has accomplished so much. Queens is well-positioned to grow in national recognition and to become an even greater partner with the Charlotte community.

Biography

Lugo is an innovative higher education leader who has served in senior positions at three prestigious national liberal arts colleges, and has strategic experience in institutional advancement, alumni engagement, enrollment marketing, student recruitment and diversity and inclusion.
