Management focuses on a company's most valuable resource: its people. Managing people is a critical function of any company. Management is an interesting career because it involves problem-solving in diverse areas.

The management major in Queens McColl School of Business is designed with experiential learning at its core to give students the ability to apply management frameworks to organizational situations and develop a change plan. Students will demonstrate an understanding of how stakeholders are impacted by such business decisions. which will prepare you for a career in a wide variety of fields, including business analyst, sales manager, human resources manager, account manager, product manager and management consultant.

Leadership and Experiential Learning

Our program was built on proven leadership principles: Competence, Character, and Commitment to Community. In the McColl School, you will explore and develop your leadership skills through the Leadership Passport Program, which provides a roadmap for experiential learning outside the classroom.

Inside the classroom, Management students work with real organizations and their leaders. They develop and apply skills regarding assessing situations, making decisions and implementing change.

Study Abroad

Queens offers business-focused study abroad programs through our partnership with premier business schools in France. You can study abroad for a summer, a semester or a full year. You may also choose to earn a dual degree, adding a Bachelor of European Management to your Queens Bachelor of Business Administration degree.

Internships and Career Programs

The McColl School provides co-curricular professional development opportunities to prepare students for the workforce. We collaborate extensively with the Charlotte business community.
