2026 Queens University of Charlotte Commencement Ceremony<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Be on the lookout for communication from the Registrar’s Office on how to ensure you are eligible and registered to walk at Commencement. Any graduate eligible but unable to attend the commencement ceremony must notify the Registrar\u2019s Office as soon as possible.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The seating area for guests opens at 9:00 a.m. No pets are allowed. The ceremony is likely to last approximately 2 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shelly Cayette-Weston<\/strong><\/a>, president of business operations for Hornets Sports & Entertainment (HSE), will deliver the keynote address to the Class of 2026 during the university\u2019s 167th commencement ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cQueens University of Charlotte plays a vital role in shaping the leaders who strengthen our city and our region,\u201d said Cayette-Weston. \u201cIt\u2019s an honor to celebrate this year\u2019s graduates and the impact they will make as they carry forward the university\u2019s commitment to service, purpose, and community.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The ceremony will be broadcast live via YouTube on the day of the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Commencement Security & Support<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There will be uniformed officers providing support at various locations on campus during commencement. These officers (representing Queens University PD, Charlotte-Mecklenburg PD, Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office, and private security officers) will be stationed at intersections (to route traffic and ensure the safety of pedestrians), in campus parking lots and decks (to direct guests to their assigned parking), and at both the Levine Center and Gambrell to help direct visitors and provide support to our community as needed. Since commencement is a ticketed event, it is not open to the public, so these officers will also help to ensure the security of our graduates and their guests.
