Julie Funderburk teaches courses in creative writing, poetry, and first-year writing. Through the English Department\u2019s Seelbinder Literary Arts Series, she shapes opportunities for students to learn directly from distinguished visiting writers and scholars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She is the author of The Door that Always Opens<\/em> (LSU Press) and Thoughts to Fold into Birds<\/em> (Unicorn Press). Her poems have been anthologized in Verse Daily<\/em> and Best New Poets<\/em> and appear in journals such as The Southern Review<\/em>, Ecotone<\/em>, Pleiades<\/em>, Cave Wall<\/em>, and Ploughshares<\/em>.
