What You’ll Study<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Do you have a desire to impact change in your community? Are you drawn to an intellectual challenge or a desire to help others? Because the law impacts every area of society, a career in law can take many forms \u2014 criminal defense, civil liberties, corporate or environmental law, to name just a few. At Queens, students who pursue law school pair their major with this minor program. In this minor, we will prepare you for law school by equipping you with skills in analytic thinking, research, and written and oral communication and by covering specific legal content such as foundations in law, constitutional law, etc. Queens also has an extensive network of active lawyers willing to support our students interested in their work. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

How It Works<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The minor helps students build a strong foundation for law school through four required courses and two electives.<\/strong> Along with these courses, the pre-law program offers personal advising, general preparation for a legal career, guidance on major selection, and help in applying to law school. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
