The Creative Writing program at Queens is designed to help you channel your love for the written word into a variety of opportunities, from publication to internship to a career following your passion. In our program, you\u2019ll receive the guidance and support of our talented and engaged faculty, who have vast experience in the world of writing and publishing. You\u2019ll also benefit from guest lectures from a variety of renowned authors and poets, as well as our graduates\u2019 impressive track record.<\/p>\n\n <\/component> <\/div>\n

Meet Lara Boyle ’23<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Lara began placing her work in the Huffington Post and Newsweek during her time with us as an undergraduate student. She\u2019s published in a variety of literary journals and went on to pursue an MFA in Creative Nonfiction at UNC Wilmington. Read more about Lara and her experience<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meet Claire Lechtenberg ’17<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Claire is currently the Director of Development & Marketing at The Independent Picture House and had this to say, “My passion is sharing stories, and the roles I’ve held throughout my collegiate career and post-graduate life have allowed me to do just that. By connecting individuals with an organization, or even with one another, through shared human experiences, I am able to build trust as well as brand awareness for the company I represent.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
