It champions these values while reinforcing Queens\u2019 deep commitment to developing authentic and empowered leaders in the community.<\/p>\n\n \n\n Established in 1978, this is Queens\u2019 longest-running public event and a cornerstone of lifelong learning in the region\u2019s financial and legal sectors. This event equips attendees with critical insights into wealth management, tax law, legacy planning, and fiduciary responsibility. It reinforces the university\u2019s role as a trusted convener of expert knowledge and responsible practice.<\/p>\n\n \n\n Since 1988, The Learning Society has brought renowned speakers\u2014visionaries, authors, activists, and thought leaders\u2014to campus for conversations that expand horizons and challenge perspectives. This flagship forum reflects the university\u2019s belief in intellectual engagement as a lifelong pursuit.<\/p>\n\n \n\n Rooted in Queens University of Charlotte\u2019s mission to transform students\u2019 lives and enrich the broader community through intellectual inquiry, ethical leadership, and civic engagement, the Corporate and Special Programs educate and empower the community by convening influential professionals, thought leaders, and changemakers to share ideas, foster leadership, and drive regional and global impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Together, these programs advance Queens\u2019 commitment to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Allison Meyer-Tucker<\/strong> Ariani Huguenin<\/strong> The Social Justice and Community Organizing Certification program<\/a> equips participants with political education and practical skills to effectively organize for social change. Participants are equipped with the knowledge and skills to bring together their communities around areas of common concern, build power, influence community decisions, and create just outcomes in the various personal and professional contexts in which they work and live.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Senior Scholars at Queens<\/a> provides educational programming for local seniors (adults aged 50 and up) who desire intellectual stimulation without the commitment to long-term enrollment. The group has more than 700 members, many of whom attend weekly lectures held at Providence United Methodist Church during the school year. For just $35 annually, Senior Scholars have access to lectures on topics such as art, history, science, and health.
