Participants are equipped with the knowledge and skills to bring together their communities around areas of common concern, build power, influence community decisions, and create just outcomes in the various personal and professional contexts in which they work and live.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Senior Scholars<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.seniorscholars.net\/\">Senior Scholars at Queens<\/a> provides educational programming for local seniors (adults aged 50 and up) who desire intellectual stimulation without the commitment to long-term enrollment. The group has more than 700 members, many of whom attend weekly lectures held at Providence United Methodist Church during the school year. For just $35 annually, Senior Scholars have access to lectures on topics such as art, history, science, and health.
