Paula most recently worked on the documentary film &#8220;Crisis of Substance&#8221; about the opioid crisis and substance abuse. In June 2023, the film won a Southeast Emmy award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Elvis Menayese &#8217;22<\/strong> is the race and equity reporter for Charlotte\u2019s NPR News Source, WFAE 90.7. Originally from Wales in the United Kingdom, Menayese traveled to the United States, attended Queens, and worked with the Queens News Service, where he published a number of stories on local community issues and topics such as sports, religion, and the environment during his college experience. Elvis was offered a job with WFAE after graduation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Program Highlights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>As a multimedia storytelling major at Queens, you will develop analytical and critical thinking skills as you receive in-depth training in the latest storytelling techniques across a range of media.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You will have numerous opportunities to work directly with Charlotte area media outlets. Plus, our faculty members can facilitate connections to internship opportunities and future job opportunities for graduates.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In addition, our students can connect with the Charlotte community through digital and media literacy initiatives, depending on your interest.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Accelerated MA in Communication (MACom)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Queens offers an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.queens.edu\/admissions\/accelerated-pathways-at-queens-university-of-charlotte\/\" title=\"\">accelerated pathway<\/a> for qualified Multimedia Storytelling students who want a faster route to a graduate degree. Eligible students may receive an invitation after admission, complete an intent-to-enroll form, and receive personalized advising to stay on track.
