As the healthcare industry grows, the demand for this skill is growing fast. They also have the added advantage of proximity to Charlotte\u2019s vibrant healthcare community, which is home to more than 100 healthcare organizations, including <a href=\"https:\/\/atriumhealth.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Atrium Health<\/a>, the largest healthcare system in the Carolinas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cI got my job at Orlando Health because of my courses in health communication. My boss told me that without this coursework experience, I wouldn\u2019t be where I am today. I help with physician onboarding and prepare all the marketing materials. I also work in the service line marketing for the cancer institute, heart institute, and help market to the Orlando community, including helping with events and symposiums.\u201d<\/p>\n<cite>\u2013 Lauren Quinn \u201919, marketing specialist at Orlando Health<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Program Highlights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>As a Health Communication major at Queens, you\u2019ll learn to design health communication campaigns and develop skills in strategic communication, media production, and research.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You\u2019ll also learn how to address important social and community issues that impact health inequities everywhere.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The surrounding Charlotte community is a perfect place to complete your studies in health communication, with a vibrant and innovative healthcare market that offers a variety of internship and career opportunities for students and new grads alike.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You\u2019ll emerge from our program ready to take on a variety of roles within healthcare organizations or to pursue graduate school to advance your education and your career.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Accelerated MA in Communication (MACom)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Queens offers an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.queens.edu\/admissions\/accelerated-pathways-at-queens-university-of-charlotte\/\" title=\"\">accelerated pathway<\/a> for qualified Health Communication students who want a faster route to a graduate degree. Eligible students may receive an invitation after admission, complete an intent-to-enroll form, and receive personalized advising to stay on track.
