TWIST Frequently Asked Questions

When and where is the conference?

The conference is April 8-10, 2019 at The Lodge at Ballantyne Resort.

How much is the conference?

Tuition is $5,000 and is all-inclusive, excluding travel. The package includes accommodations for two nights at the Lodge, all meals, books by conference authors and conference materials.

If I live locally in Charlotte, can I get a discount and not stay at the Ballantyne Lodge?

Unfortunately, no. It is required that all attendees stay at the Ballantyne Lodge as it is a part of the experience of the conference. We want the women to check into the Lodge and check out of day-to-day activities to allow full engagement and time for making connections and reflecting on important topics.

Are meals included and can you do special dietary needs?

Yes. All meals and beverages are included, even snacks. We like to keep attendees well fed and happy during the conference. We are also able to assist with special dietary needs for attendees.

What is the cancellation policy?

Registered participants may cancel and receive a full refund minus a $250 administrative fee if received at least 10 business days prior to the start of the conference. Cancellations received after that time are nonrefundable due to the customized nature of the experience. A transfer of registration to another person is gladly accepted. Please e-mail the conference organizers for cancellations.

Do you expect to sell out?

Yes. Spots are limited and we sell out at 40 attendees. The conference has sold out the last two years. If you are wanting to attend, register early.

What is the dress code?

Comfortable business casual is recommended. More specifics about weather and activities during the conference will be sent to attendees in advance so you know what to pack.

What is the difference between the TWIST Conference and the TWIST Breakfast?

The TWIST Breakfast is an event that happens each year to kick off the TWIST Conference. It normally features a speaker from the conference on a topic similar to the conference theme. The TWIST Breakfast is open to anyone in the community (men and women) and sells out at 250 attendees. You can buy a single ticket or a table. Attendees for the conference also receive a ticket to the breakfast as a part of the conference tuition.
