April Sipprell, Ph.D
Dr. April K. Sipprell has been a faculty member at Queens since 2010. She is a North
Carolina native who teaches Microbiology, Human Anatomy & Physiology, Cellular and
Molecular Foundations, Writing for Biologists and other biology courses.
Dr. Sipprell previously taught at the University of South Carolina and at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte. She has been part of the SEA-PHAGES biology faculty team at Queens working to implement authentic research experiences into the undergraduate curriculum. She currently serves on the Title IX Investigation team and the General Education Committee and is an academic advisor to biology majors.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her daughters, walking, reading and watching her younger daughter play college soccer.
