James Allen, Ph.D.
Originally from Gainesville, Florida, Dr. Allen has sport industry employment experience with Major League Soccer and has collaborated on research projects with the College World Series and the Memphis Open professional tennis tournament.
Dr. Allen’s scholarly research has been published in Sport Management Review, the International Journal of Sport Management, Journal of Venue and Event Management and the Journal of Contemporary Athletics. Dr. Allen has held tenure track faculty positions at Nebraska Wesleyan University and Christian Brothers University prior to joining Queens University of Charlotte in 2017. He has a passion for advising and mentoring undergraduate students and takes pride in assisting young adults in forging their career paths. This passion was recognized by the academic community when Dr. Allen received the award for Outstanding Faculty Advisor from The National Academic Advising Association in 2013.
