John Repede, D.B.A.
Dr. John Repede is a professor of management science and computer information systems. In addition to his teaching and research, he is an industry consultant and commercial software developer with extensive work experience in the private and public sectors. He has held positions in municipal emergency services, retailing, health care, information technology and nonprofit foundations.
Prior to his appointment at Queens, Dr. Repede held academic positions at Eastern
Kentucky University and at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte, where he introduced
major changes in teaching methods and created educational software.
He has contributed research and has made presentations at numerous national conferences, and has authored, co-authored and contributed to 16 textbooks on information systems and operations management. His work has been published in leading journals in the operations management field, and has served as a consultant and expert witness in civil and criminal computer-related legal cases, including expert testimony for the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
